Tony Timeless and the case of the Kidnapped Car Dealer Scion

What will our story be about?
Saving a teenager from abduction by a splinter terrorist cell.

Hero: Tony Timeless
Appearance: Short.  Glasses.  One side of his head hair replaced by a skull cap made of circuits.  One leg and one arm bionic.  Has an Australian accent. Pet koala.
What is Tony Timeless good at?:
  1. Remembering Knowledge.  D12
  2. Creating things out of existing matter.  D10
  3. Falling and Jumping. D8
  4. Pausing time.  D6
Description: A letter (an actual old-fashioned letter!) slips into a slot in the front door of an Tony Timeless' office.  What would you like to do?

Tony's Action: I'm going to disconnect my neuroplug and walk over to pick the letter up.  I examine the letter.

Description: The envelope smells of some sort of flower and is a bit sticky in one corner.  Outside the door, you hear distant footsteps and a door closing.  Looks like you won't be following the person who left it.

Tony's Action: Open it.

Description: Inside the envelope is single page with letters pasted on, that says "Simon Says play along.  Jerry Fanicole's ransom is $1.5 million.  Drop instructions to follow."  The name is familiar...  Fanicole is the last name of a local car dealership owner.

Tony: I try to remember everything I can about him.

Description:  Succeed.  Jerry Fanicole is the son of Simon Fanicole, who owns several local car dealerships.  Simon's net worth, at last estimate, was $15 million.  You don't know anything more about Simon Fanicole or his business.

Tony: I pick up my lump of playdough, put on my hat, and head out the door. I'm headed to talk to Jerry Fanicole!

Tony Timeless and Finding the Enteramin Orb

What will our story be about?
Tracking down the baddies who heisted a small glowing orb that produces enough power to run a space ship.  Outer Space detectives/police.

Hero: Tony Timeless
Appearance: Short.  Glasses.  One side of his head hair replaced by a skull cap made of circuits.  One leg and one arm bionic.  Has an Australian accent. Pet koala.
What is Tony Timeless good at?:
  1. Remembering Knowledge.  D12
  2. Creating things out of existing matter.  D10
  3. Falling and Jumping. D8
  4. Pausing time.  D6

The Story:
On a giant space station, in a small section of what could be considered a science area, a small light burst forth in the darkness.  It began to cut a small hole in the plate wall of the space station, starting a swirling vortex of air escaping the room.  A dark figure floats toward a supply cabinet and upon opening it sees their target - a glowing orb, about the size of a baseball, which alternately pulses and swirls.  The newly created enteramin passes into the hands of who knows who....

Tony Timeless relaxed in his comfy arm chair.  It barely supports his weight because the mechanical parts of his body are made out of super-dense alloy and have increased his weight nearly 3 times!  A blinking light appears in the corner of his vision, and he notes it and answers the call.

Prescient Malon: "Hi Tony."
Tony: Hi Malon.  What can I do for you? Anything that can take me away from the boredom of reviewing my article for Gumshoe Quarterly?
Malon: Actually, yes, we have a wonderful opportunity for you to see the newest technology in the galaxy.
Tony: (Ah, you want me to go somewhere I don't want to go, eh?)
Malon:

12/4

I left Jenny with Jazz last night while Lucy and I went out.  She is tickled that I'm working on training Jazz, so I gave her the target stick and let her try out some training with Jazz herself.  I will ask her later today about how it went and if she did anything.  We got home after 10:00p, so it was too late to chat.

Fetch? Treat under Cup

I got another book on training cats.  Nothing is new in there, but is much more succinct.  I am especially interested in trying to capture Jazz carrying a toy around, so I can eventually get her to fetch.  I'd love to have that be a possible way to exercise her, especially if I can get her jumping up and down on furniture when running to fetch something.  I don't think that cats are good at seeking something they can't see, so I will need to allow for that when throwing the toy.

Yesterday, I also started putting one of her treats into a paper cup.  She had to reach in and pull the treat out.  But the cup was very light, so much of the time she pushed it over and the treat came out while the cup rolled.  And I made it even more difficult after she started to get that the treat in the cup was hers if she could get it, by turning the cup over and putting the treat under it.  She had a hard time with that and never did knock the cup over. Instead she'd pull the cup toward her, press it against her back leg while sitting, and pop the edge of the cup up over the treat to get to it.  Impressive!

Slim by Design Work Discussion

I talked to a person from HR yesterday about the Slim By Design book, and what it could mean here at our building to help make people less likely to consume too many calories.

He was receptive to it, but is still not in a position to make changes himself.  After talking with him, the immediate outcomes was that he would bring it to his manager sometime soon.  Likely very soon, I'd guess, because he is an overweight gentleman and loves the idea of redesigning our workspace to help him keep weight off.

He also suggested that I meet with our building's safety coordinator.  I guess she is someone who would be good to talk to about changing the layout of the building, but I don't know how much overlap her role has with employee health.  She's also thin, so may not be as amenable to this, and already has a full workload, I'm sure, with the other safety things she has going on.
